CHARLESTON, S.C. - October 2, 2014 - Blue Acorn, a premium eCommerce design, development and optimization agency, today announced the launch of a responsive website for VIETRI, Inc., the largest importer of handcrafted Italian tableware and home decor products in the United States. The new VIETRI website is built on Magento Enterprise Edition 1.14.
VIETRI began more than 30 years ago with three women's passion for entertaining and love of all things Italian. Sensing a need for an immersive digital experience, VIETRI engaged Blue Acorn to share their lifestyle through a website redesign to give their customers a seamless Italian experience across all electronic devices.

The new site engages visitors with beautiful photography of irresistibly Italian scenes and artfully rustic tablescapes. The product pages include biographies of the artisans who handcraft each piece, and users can filter products by their favorite artisan. New navigation allows customers to shop product styles that complement their home furnishings. Information about the materials used and product care are available for users to read before welcoming pieces of Italy into their homes.

"From the Roman-inspired Alverata typeface to the color palettes showcasing the beauty of each collection, subtleties across the site create an immersive Italian experience."
A responsive design allows VIETRI's customers to seamlessly experience the quintessentially Italian lifestyle products on all their electronic devices, leveraging Magento's native responsive framework. The experience is enhanced by faster page load times due to Magento's native full-page caching and the Magento-optimized infrastructure of VIETRI's hosting partner, RackSpace.
Blue Acorn integrated several of Magento's technology partners to support VIETRI's growing eCommerce business, including email provider Bronto and a live chat functionality powered by Olark.
VIETRI chose to replatform onto Magento 1.14 to take advantage of a key feature: the ability to power multiple sales channels through a single website. Blue Acorn combined VIETRI's two existing B2C and B2B sites, allowing them to easily manage the new site with a single interface. The B2B site, available exclusively to dealers, will launch in beta February 2015 and feature a custom bulk-order functionality.
