CHARLESTON, SC, – October 9, 2007 – NanoScreen, LLC, a global industry innovator in fluid dispensing products announced today that at the end of the second quarter 2007, orders for its patented 1536 multi-channel dispense head have exceeded the company's annual expectations by over 60%.

A prototype of the NanoScreen 1536 channel 'disposable' pipette dispensing unit was unveiled at the Society of Biomolecular Screening (SBS) trade show in Geneva, Switzerland in September of 2005. Data on beta testing of the NS-1536 was released at the Association of Laboratory Automation (ALA) Trade Show in Palm Springs, CA in January 2006.

"We are very pleased that the NS-1536 multi-channel dispense head is being successfully validated at the research laboratories of the major pharmaceutical companies all over the country," said NanoScreen Chief Executive, Daniel Dechert.

"The initial testing at companies including Merck and Schering Plough, really speaks to our success developing a product that is meeting industry demand," he added.

With the dramatic time savings and accuracy that is only possible with the 1536 multi-channel dispensing technology, NanoScreen expects demand for this product and the accompanying disposable pipette tips to remain very strong ahead of the introduction of their newly developed tabletop robotic pipette platform.

"The introduction of NanoScreen's tabletop robotic pipette platform will offer our customers the end to end solution they are seeking while positioning NanoScreen as the leader in integrated liquid handling technology," said Daniel Dechert. "When introduced, our pipetting platform will be the only robotic platform on the market that is fully compatible with the all configurations of the 96, 384 and 1536 dispense head," he added.
