Following the successful return of this tech-focused 5k race to downtown Charleston in 2022, the Charleston Digital Corridor (CDC) along with title sponsor Charleston County Economic Development, is pleased to announce the 2023 iFiveK will be held this year on April 27th at 6:30PM. The race will once again be hosted downtown at the Charleston Tech Center located at 997 Morrison Drive with food, festivities and live music following the race. REGISTRATION IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!

The new 5k route leads participants in a straightforward rectangular loop in the vibrant and rapidly developing neighborhood adjacent to the Charleston Tech Center. New office and residential buildings are rising along with a growing number of new restaurants, breweries and bars that have, unsurprisingly, become favorites for the 400 employees based at the Tech Center. Proceeds from the iFiveK go to support the CDC's Diversity and CDCu initiatives.

The iFiveK has become the favorite athletic and networking event for Charleston's tech community. As one of only a handful of evening, weekday races in the region, the iFiveK, limited to 500 participants, historically sells out ahead of the event each year.

"In an environment of various hybrid work models, we appreciate the Digital Corridor's continued focus on bringing members of our tech community together for a fun evening that blends the 5k race with networking and an amazing after party," said Charleston County Economic Development Executive Director, Steve Dykes.

"Bringing the race back downtown and having so many of our neighborhood bars and restaurants participate in our post-race event is beyond cool," said CDC Director, Ernest Andrade. "We're grateful to all our sponsors who support our programs while getting their employees together for an evening of wellness, networking, food, drink, music and just good fun."

In addition to the run, the CDC is partnering with neighboring restaurants and bars to provide a few specials and discounts for participants after the race including Revelry, Edmund's Oast, Kickin' Chicken, and Crust.
