The Charleston Digital Corridor is pleased to announce it has been awarded $65,000 from the SC Department of Commerce's Relentless Challenge, an initiative that provides competitive funding for projects that focus on fostering the relentless pursuit of transformational ideas, specifically in the areas of entrepreneurship, talent development, and access to capital.

Funds from the Relentless Challenge will be used for a major update of the Digital Corridor's CharlestonWorks portal. CharlestonWorks is a locally curated showcase of known tech and tech-related companies in Charleston. The portal informs visitors seeking to understand the depth and breadth of Charleston's tech economy while assisting career seekers with their job search in the region and allowing companies to efficiently post job openings.

"With trusted online resources increasingly becoming a major part of the decision-making process by companies and individuals, the locally curated CharlestonWorks portal is proving to be an effective tool with growing the number of companies and talent pool in our region," said Charleston Digital Corridor Director, Ernest Andrade. "We are excited to take our CharlestonWorks portal to the next level."

"Empowering localized efforts for the innovation community is crucial as South Carolina's knowledge economy continues to grow," said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt. "Access to capital, talent development, and high-scaling entrepreneurship are key elements for a thriving innovation ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating with each Relentless Challenge project over the coming year."
