McDonald's Is Using Snapchat Hire 250,000 Workers This Summer — With Help From Charleston Software

McDonald's is trying to hire a quarter million workers this summer, and to find them, it's turning to social media and a startup with Charleston ties.The fast-food giant and its franchisees are betting that most of its 250,000 new employees will be young people in their teens and early 20s, so it's trying to hire them where they hang out: Snapchat.

Virginia-based Snagajob landed a contract last fall to handle McDonald's job applications, a deal it inked after buying the locally based startup PeopleMatter last June. Snagajob chief executive Peter Harrison has said the acquisition was key to giving his company the chance to court big clients like McDonald's, Sonic and KFC. Read More:
