Charleston Digital Corridor Releases CharlestonWORKS™ Version 2.0

Charleston Digital Corridor

Portal Showcases Companies in Charleston’s Growing Tech Economy

Charleston, South Carolina – January 1, 2015 - The Charleston Digital Corridor is pleased to announce the release of its updated CharlestonWORKS™ portal. This fully responsive site allows visitors to view the growing list of tech-specific companies in Charleston while efficiently identifying and connecting with companies the are hiring.

The CharlestonWORKS portal is a part of the Digital Corridor's comprehensive talent attraction and development strategy with information for career seekers inside and outside the Charleston community as well business decision makers. With the exception of Wyoming and South Dakota, the original CharlestonWORKS portal, launched in 2008, has seen traffic from every state in the union in 2014 alone with new visitors accounting for 62.3% of the traffic to the site.

"From the initial CharlestonWORKS portal which was launched in 2008, we have seen steady growth in visitors to this site both from around the US and locally, seeking to better understand the depth of Charleston's tech scene and connect with tech employers here," said Ernest Andrade, Director of the Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation.

Due to the robust growth of the tech sector in Charleston, now five percent of the regional economy, and ease of adding and/or updating a tech company to the new site, the highly curated CharlestonWORKS™ portal will remain yet another up to date offering from the Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation.
