Over 10,000 Spanish Language Books Now Available on BiblioBoard®

Biblioboard Release

BiblioBoard, a fast-growing mobile library platform, is proud to announce a new content licensing partnership with e-Libro.

e-Libro, one of the industry's largest distributors of Spanish language eBooks, has been successful for over a decade in Latin America. This partnership with BiblioBoard will further expand their reach into North America and internationally. Over 10,000 e-Libro books will be hosted on BiblioBoard's PatronsFirst™ platform this spring. The large selection of recently published and high-demand books has been hand-picked for public library patrons by Daniel Berdaner, a leading Spanish language acquisitions librarian.

The e-Libro content on BiblioBoard is organized into five thematic, accessible collections focusing on key topics: Culture, Personal Development, Science & Technology, History and Literature. The product heavily features Central and South American authors, including works by influential writers and thinkers like Pope Francis.

Because all content on BiblioBoard is offered for unlimited multi-user access, the Spanish language books from e-Libro will be available to patrons with no check outs or returns. BiblioBoard's Founder and Chief Business Officer, Mitchell Davis, thinks this is key in the partnership. "Not only is e-Libro expanding its audience, they're giving patrons permission to love their books," Davis says. "They're making their catalog instantly and infinitely accessible to patrons around the world on an elegant, mobile platform fit for the future."

This sentiment is echoed by Berdaner, who also works as the International Relations Round Table Councilor for the American Library Association (ALA). Berdaner, the director of Forest Hill Public Library in Texas, says, "I can't wait to get this product to my patrons. It's important to have many digital options for my Spanish-speaking patrons. With this product, it's good to know they can choose what to read from a huge variety of topics and know that the book they're opening up is of high quality."

Davis agrees that the greater volume of high-quality books in Spanish is great news. "When we launched BiblioBoard, we promised libraries that we would aggressively expand our offerings based on their wants and needs. Demand for Spanish language content has never been higher, and e-Libro is the perfect partner to help us meet that demand and follow through on our promise. "

The 10,000 e-Libro books curated by Berdaner will be available through BiblioBoard as five Modules based on topic, available as a set or sold separately.
