CHARLESTON, SC - August 15, 2011 - Fanzter Inc., a venture-backed software company that designs and develops consumer-focused mobile and web products, is pleased to announce the relocation of their corporate headquarters from Collinsville, Connecticut to Charleston, South Carolina. Fanzter CEO, Aaron LaBerge, cited South Carolina's eCommerce friendly business environment and Charleston's rapidly growing technology community and high quality of life as the primary reasons for selecting Charleston over other cities considered for relocation.

"We wanted to move our company to a city where we could grow our business and have a great quality of life," said LaBerge (pictured left). "Charleston gave us the best combination of friendly business environment, growing technology community and a quality of life that is unmatched," he added.

Fanzter plans to relocate their staff from Connecticut and hire others locally as they continue to grow their business. The company will relocate their main office to the Charleston Digital Corridor's Flagship2, a facility that enables relocating companies to get their business operational with minimal interruption.

Charleston Mayor, Joseph P. Riley, Jr., welcomed Fanzter to Charleston's growing community of software companies. "We have invested in facilities and other resources to ensure Fanzter will be successful today and tomorrow," he stated.

"I want to encourage other internet companies like Fanzter to strongly consider Charleston, SC as an "eCommerce friendly" city to locate their ventures, said Charleston Digital Corridor Director, Ernest Andrade. "Knowledge and internet based companies are the most rapidly growing companies of our professional and technical economy and we are committed to fostering their continued growth," he added.
