Roadside Kitchens Takes Peoplematter ?On The Road? to Automate and Streamline Its HR Processes

CHARLESTON, S.C. – OCT. 27, 2010PeopleMatter, the first fully integrated talent management solution specifically engineered for the service industry, announced today that the Roadside Kitchens restaurant chain will deploy the PeopleMatter product ecosystem to automate, streamline and manage its human resources tasks. The chain, owned by renowned chef Brett McKee, will use PeopleMatter Hire™ in all of its Southeast locations, to find, hire and onboard new employees.

With two current locations in the Carolinas and plans to open three more across the Southeast by the end of the year, McKee needed a centralized system to manage all of Roadside's HR tasks easily and while on the road. PeopleMatter Hire's SaaS-based (Software as a Service) solution allows McKee (and any of his designated employees) to access the system wherever there is an Internet connection, including on mobile devices and the iPad. Hire's user interface is optimized for use on touchscreen devices such as smartphones and tablets.

In addition to a mobile system, McKee needed a talent management solution that could include social media information. Social media has been an integral factor in the success of the Roadside Kitchens concept, incorporating locals' menu suggestions, employee referrals and dining feedback. PeopleMatter Hire integrates with various social media outlets (and performs extensive background checks and hiring assessments) to provide clients with a 360-degree view of candidates. Future PeopleMatter modules, such as scheduling and learning, plan to utilize social media for workforce engagement as well.
