Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation Hosts Evening Race in Historic Downtown Charleston

Portion of Proceeds Goes to Burke Scholarship Fund

March 14, 2007, Charleston, SC - The Charleston Digital Corridor announces the innaugral iFive:k on Thursday, April 19, 2007 starting at 6:30 PM.

The Innovator's 5K run (iFive:K) is open to runners and walkers and will start and finish at the Charleston Maritime Center. A post-race celebration will immediately follow the race and will be held on the Harbor at the Charleston Maritime Center.

The Charleston Digital Corridor will donate a portion of the proceeds raised to the Burke Scholarship Fund. This donation will be earmarked for a student seeking higher education in a technology related field.

"Events build relationships," says Ernest Andrade, director of the Charleston Digital Corridor. "It is important for professionals in Charleston's knowledge economy to have a network of support as they face challenges building a successful business and we are happy to support technology education in the process."
