QuickFarm Launches New Mobile Web Service

Company Release

CHARLESTON, S.C. (April 26, 2006) - QuickFarm announces the launch of its new QuickFarm Mobile service that allows producers with Web-enabled mobile phones or PDAs to access timely production information.

The phone-formatted information will be managed by the user from the Web site of their local elevator, cooperative or other QuickFarm subscriber location. QuickFarm Mobile provides producers with convenient, portable and immediate access to breaking agricultural news, weather radar, forecasts, grain and livestock market information, local commodity prices and LDP information - right from their mobile phones.

Matt Walsh, vice president of QuickFarm, says the mobile Web service augments the company's current services and makes it even easier for agribusiness subscribers to provide their farmer customers with the critical, time-sensitive information they need for their farming operations.

"The high level of use and growing popularity of mobile phones by farmers, along with the rapid expansion of wireless technology, makes the QuickFarm Mobile service a natural extension of the services we are already providing," Walsh says. "With timely ag news and weather, quick load times and our expanding portfolio of Web-based information tools, agribusinesses may now serve their customers from almost any remote location."

In addition, participating QuickFarm Web site subscribers can tailor the information they want to provide their farmer customers who use the Mobile service. Through zip code and preference settings, farmers can customize the weather, LDP, and market information they wish to view. There is no charge to producers for using their mobile phone to access the information. Producers should contact their local elevator, cooperative or other QuickFarm Web site-subscribing business for QuickFarm Mobile access information.
