With all the doom and gloom on Wall Street it is encouraging to see that the average wage for reporting Digital Corridor companies continues to outpace local and state averages. In 2008 companies reported an average wage of $76,144, more than double the average annual wage for the State of South Carolina and the Charleston-North Charleston statistical metropolitan/non-metropolitan area. Companies participating in the survey also reported employment growth of 213 employees over the past twelve months reaffirming my belief that Charleston’s knowledge economy remains strong.

"Fridays @ the Corridor"

Let your voice be heard! Please join us for our final “Fridays @ the Corridor” session of 2008 to brainstorm and map the programming for 2009. This session will be held from 9:00 - 10:00am at the Digital Corridor's office located at 392-A Meeting Street on November 21, 2008.
