Notes Ahhh!! Spring has arrived! I can't think of a better way to welcome in spring than running or walking along the Charleston Battery at sunset. You demanded and we listened - the Digital Corridor's iFive:K race is now an annual event. So grab your running shoes and let's run, walk and network! iFive:K Please join us for the 2008 Charleston Digital Corridor iFive:K on Thursday, April 17th, 2008 at 6:30 PM. The race will start and finish at the Charleston Maritime Center on the Harbor. The race will wind through historic downtown Charleston and finish with a post-race celebration at the Charleston Maritime Center. Companies including eGroup, JSJ Pharmaceuticals, Cantey Technology, Blackbaud and Modus21 are up for the challenge, who’s next? The iFive:K is open to teams of two, six and ten, as well as individual runners/walkers. Register and put your company's name on the 'Bragging Rights Trophy' housed at the Charleston Digital Corridor Office. A portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Burke High School Scholarship Fund and earmarked for a student seeking an education in a technology related field "Fridays @ the Corridor" April begins our “Fridays @ the Corridor” Human Resources series. Sandy Hill, Director of Client Services for HR On-Call, will kick off the series with a discussion on some of the top human resources mistakes and how to successfully avoid making them. The April "Fridays @ the Corridor" session will be held from 9-10am at the Digital Corridor's office at 392-A Meeting Street on April 18th. In May Dr. Skip Godow, Executive Director, Lowcountry Graduate Center, will discuss workforce development, specifically attracting and retaining employees. Molly Hughes, Partner with Nexsen Pruet, will address legal issues throughout the entire employment spectrum in June with “Employee Law Issues: 102”.
