Geocent Expands to Charleston Area; New Orleans-Based Spawar Contractor to Hire In Local Market

North Charleston, SC (December 20, 2010) – Geocent, LLC, a New Orleans, LA-based SPAWAR contractor and information technology company, announced today that it is opening a branch office at the Lowcountry Innovation Center in North Charleston's Navy Yard. The Company's North Charleston office will primarily be supporting SPAWAR LANT**, **as Geocent provides innovative information technology, engineering, technical and decision support. The office will open on January 1, 2011.

"Geocent has decided to make an investment in the Charleston area," said Lori Savoie, Chief Executive Officer of Geocent, LLC. "Part of our long range goals is to hire a minimum of 40 SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) Certified Professionals, in addition to SOA Certified Architects, Developers and Analysts, over the next year." The Company's operations at the LIC will be primarily in support of SPAWAR LANT, encompassing areas of application development, data conversion and integration, Service Oriented Architecture, and Systems Engineering and Security.
