PeopleMatter Foundation is Haiti Bound

PeopleMatter Release

Newly founded disaster relief organization announces first project in Haiti to commemorate the six month anniversary of devastating earthquake

**Charleston, S.C. JUNE 28, 2010–**The Clean Water Initiative in Haiti was established to commemorate the six month anniversary of the devastating earthquake that took place on January 12, 2010. The PeopleMatter Foundation is looking to build a clean water system for the survivors. Executive Director Cara Glore and PeopleMatter Corporation's President and CEO Nate DaPore will travel to Haiti on June 28th with Seacoast Missions of Mount Pleasant, SC to outline the development of the clean water system with potential partners.

Haiti, still in desperate need of clean water, continues to spread deadly diseases. With help from Charleston Digital Corridor members, BoomTown, eGroup, PeopleMatter Corporation, eSite, Inc., eThority, Ernest Andrade of the Charleston Digital Corridor, and a few private donors, the PeopleMatter Foundation will be able to make a big impact while in Port-au-Prince and other devastated communities in Haiti. These donors were first to contribute to the PeopleMatter Foundation mission and are leading this project to success.

"We are compelled at this time to put Haiti back on the radar. One of the biggest issues the Haitians continue to face is the vast spread of fatal diseases due to the lack of clean water. Thanks to our gracious donors and Seacoast Church Missions, our team is well positioned to make a difference in the lives of those suffering. Our goal is to assist in the long-term success of Haiti by educating the people on the importance of clean water for agriculture, health and hygiene. It is going to be a long road to success, but we are confident that through the hard work and dedication of our team of volunteers and partners, we can make a difference in the livelihood of these people. We are just people helping people and hope that others will do the same," said Glore.
