Digital Corridor Announces Release of Updated Website

Charleston Digital Corridor

Site represents the fourth generation since the initiative was launched in 2001

Charleston, SC – October 5, 2009 –****The Charleston Digital Corridor is pleased to announce the release of its updated website www.CharlestonDigitalCorridor.com Redeveloping the website is a major undertaking since the site has a broad audience including the Digital Corridor's existing member companies, resource partners, companies and professionals seeking to relocate to Charleston, and the media.

"This website is the result of dozens of interviews with our existing users as well as representatives from knowledge-based companies who have recently located to Charleston and used the site as a source of information as part of their due diligence," said Digital Corridor Director, Ernest Andrade. "Our work is never done since our website has to evolve to meet the dynamic needs of our end users," he added.

While the Digital Corridor's previous website was full of valuable information, this new portal presents the information in a considerably more accessible, simple and elegant manner," said Wave Sciences Corporation's President, J. Keith McElveen. "As a resident of the Flagship, the Digital Corridor has been very responsive to my business needs and this is another example of an organization that is clearly focused on positioning Charleston as a leading community for technology entrepreneurs," he added.

The website was designed by Amy Reed of Helium, Inc and programmed by Craig Coffman. New functionality includes an improved talent portal with a job scraping feature that provides up to date information on career opportunities at select knowledge-based companies, podcasts, improved search capabilities, video and a greater spotlight on Digital Corridor companies.
