Charleston, SC – December 17, 2008 - The Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation is pleased to name the 2009 Board of Directors and welcomes both newly appointed and returning Directors.

The Digital Corridor Board will be led by Chair Kirk King, President and CEO, CSS; Vice-Chair Jonathan Alba, Chief Operating Officer, JSJ Pharmaceuticals and Secretary/Treasurer Jonathan Butler, Co-Founder, Automated Trading Desk.

New Board members include Mason Holland, Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of Benefitfocus and Stephen M. Lanier, Ph.D., MUSC Associate Provost for Research and Pharmacology Professor.

The new Board members are joined by returning Board members Daniel Dechert, President and CEO, NanoScreen; Jonathan Butler, Co-Founder, Automated Trading Desk; Jonathan Alba, Chief Operating Officer, JSJ Pharmaceuticals and the Honorable Joseph P. Riley, Jr., Mayor, City of Charleston.

This distinguished group provides the Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation with a wealth of business experience, financial support and first hand industry insight, elements that are critical to the successful development of the Charleston's knowledge economy.
