CHARLESTON, S.C., and MARIETTA Ga., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ – Graphic Packaging Corporation (NYSE: GPK), a leading provider of paperboard packaging solutions to the beverage, food and other consumer products industries, has announced a major transportation improvement program across its large-scale, multi-site shipping network, which will provide significant benefits and competitive advantage to the company and its customers.

For powering this new centralized and automated transportation planning and management network for the company, Graphic Packaging has selected Shippers Commonwealth ("ShipComm") as its Transportation Management System (TMS) provider. The new TMS is being deployed on a phased basis for covering Graphic Packaging's U.S. paper mills combined with centralized transportation management of its U.S. carton converting plants, all as directed from central logistics corporate command and control center at the Company's Marietta, GA headquarters.

ShipComm was selected to provide its comprehensive TMS program to bring additional advanced capabilities with high ROI to Graphic Packaging, as the new ShipComm TMS replaces current incumbent legacy systems and prior third party logistics programs. Plans call for expansion to inbound and outbound applications to continue support rapid growth of Graphic Packaging and to leverage "economies of scale" for enhanced profitability.

"After a thorough evaluation process, we selected Shippers Commonwealth as our TMS provider based upon their proven program and track record of success in large-scale manufacturing transportation improvement programs, including in our industry," says Robert L. "Bo" Pierce, Corporate Director of Transportation & Logistics for Graphic Packaging, adding that, "together, in partnership with ShipComm, we will lead the industry in providing the most innovative, responsive, and efficient delivery solutions for our customers."
