QuickFarm Release

CHARLESTON, S.C. (August 21, 2006) – QuickFarm announces that Matt Walsh has been named president and chief executive officer of the company. Walsh previously served as vice president of sales and operations for the company. He replaces Steve Hall, who is stepping down but will remain on the company's board of directors.

Kirkman Finlay, III, chairman of the board for QuickFarm, says Walsh is ideally suited to continue to lead the company forward as new Web-based services and technologies are developed. "Matt has worked closely with Steve from the company's infancy, successfully managing and expanding the number of agribusiness customers and driving technological development and understanding of the market," Finlay says. "We're proud of what the company has accomplished under Steve and look forward to building on that solid foundation with Matt's leadership."

Walsh, who has been with the company since June 2002, says it is an exciting time to be on the cutting edge of information and product technologies for agribusinesses and farmers. "I'm honored to be working with an innovation-minded organization with a proven record of bringing useful new Web technologies to market," Walsh explains. "By investing in product development and customer service, we are building a strong foundation for future growth and serving the demand for instant local news, weather and market information. I look forward to developing new arenas for growth."
