Talent has emerged as the key driver for economic prosperity in communities. Developing Charleston's workforce and attracting young professionals is a high priority. Many local organizations, including the Lowcountry Graduate Center (LGC), are working to determine how to attract, retrain, and enhance the talent in the Charleston community. Dr. Rew (Skip) Godow focused on the importance of providing education programs in the Charleston area that are relevant to growing our economy. Using the LGC as a case study for responding to community needs, Dr. Godow discussed the role of the community in deriving program curriculum and provide examples of the LGC's impact on SPAWAR and the local school systems.
