Junior Software Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for developing software programs to meet the requirements and constraints of the customer scope of work.
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
• Work within a project team to accomplish all the deliverables throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.  (design, development, testing, and implementation)
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Requirements/Areas of Experience: 

• Experience with technical development of Business Process Management System (BPMS) projects.
• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles
• Experience with all aspects of a Software Development Life Cycle (design, development, testing, and implementation)
• Experience using Java, J2EE, .NET, C#, Web Services, API, Db experience, as well as Web Frameworks (such as Spring or Hibernate).

Education/Experience: 

Technical Intern: At least 2 yrs of education towards a BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.).  Combination of Education/Experience: 3 yrs.

Software Engineer I: BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.) plus 0-3 years of experience in the field.  Combination of Education/Experience: 6 yrs.
