Position Description:

Senior Logistics Engineer will be responsible for all analysis, design, life cycle costing, and initial support efforts related to full scale Integrated Logistics Support for various shipboard and shore systems. 

Requirements:

• Shall have demonstrated experience providing logistics support for major defense acquisition systems and direct program experience in full life cycle logistics support for C4 and IT related systems acquisition related projects. 
• Must be capable of demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Navy Supply Automated Information Systems (AIS), Logistics Inventory, and Financial Management. Navy automated supply management relevant Navy Schools will be considered as experience.  
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of US Navy logistics organizations, policies and operating procedures, hands-on experience at the unit, installation and/or material management center level. Must have a comprehensive understanding of how the supply system operates. Must have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current Navy logistics doctrine and a familiarity with emerging concepts. 
• Must be able to work at the detailed tactics, techniques, and procedures level.  
• Must be familiar with the following items: 
  • ILSP Integrated Logistics Support Plan 
  • ULSS Users Logistics Support Plan 
  • PSD/RBS Program Support Documentation / Readiness Based Sparing 
  • CM Plan Configuration Management 
  • PESHE Plan Programmatic Environmental, Safety, and Health Evaluation 
  • HSI Plan Human Systems Integration 
  • UID Plan Unique Identification Also must be familiar with the Navy Data Environment (NDE), Navy ICAPS (Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System,), ILS Certification initiation and modification, CDMD-OA, APL Development, PMS Development, Maintenance Planning and Supply Support. 

Education:

• Desire a BS degree or higher in the field of Logistics, Operations Planning/Management, or have experience managing logistics analysis and support projects of major scope and complexity.
• A Professional Logistician Certification desired.  

Travel Required: 25% 

US Citizenship is required in order to obtain/maintain required DoD security clearance.
