Business Development Coordinator

The Business Development Coordinator supports the Business Development and Consulting Operations team in effectively managing our engagements with clients and prospective clients.  The Coordinator works collaboratively with operational, leadership and technical team members to develop and implement the framework for delivering technical and management solutions.  Activities include helping to manage key data, management metrics, proposals, market strategies and effectiveness of the RCG Business Development/Consulting Operations team. 

Examples of Essential Functions & Responsibilities

 

  • Review , maintain and manage information in customer relationship management and work management databases
  • Ensure coordination of Business Development activities with Marketing, Sales and Operations
  • Ensure continuous improvement of marketing and business development process and support
  • Maintain and distribute client quality assurance reviews
  • Help develop and maintain client account plans
  • Manage affiliate/partner program
  • Draft and maintain business development plans, including call plans and timelines
  • Provide weekly reports, detailing recent and planned business activities, calls and meetings, and pipeline updates
  • Assist in the preparation for monthly BD meetings; attend all meetings as scheduled
  • Ensure professional and appropriate interaction and communication with clients during all business activities; immediately raise client issues or concerns to leadership team for resolution in support of positive client relationships
  • Facilitate and coordinate the development of whitepapers, technical discussions and other business meetings to promote LCE’s services and bandwidth
  • Assist with writing technical documents, developing proposals and preparing presentations(content and format)
  • Perform market research on industries/companies (trends, financial status, corporate   strategy, issues on organizational access, definition of targets, etc.) and help manage vertical market activities.,
  • Maintain updated industry experience list and case studies
  • Maintain standard proposals file
  • Maintain document control process for Business Development Materials
  • Track weekly/monthly Business Development status and ensure sales source report accuracy
  • Provide administrative support to Business Development and Operations Team to include reserving conference rooms and making meeting arrangements, coordinating conference call reservations, arranging client entertainment activities, making travel reservations, generating and processing expense vouchers.
  • Maintain schedule in employee schedule (Operations and Business Development)
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested that the employee is capable of performing

 

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelors degree required in engineering, computer science, marketing or business administration.  Masters degree desired.
  • 5 years sales and/or marketing experience

·         Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to analyze cause and effect scenarios and identify business/client opportunities and solutions with minimal leadership oversight

·         Good financial and data analysis skills, with the ability to report and present findings in a concise, thorough, and informative fashion

·         The ability to maintain professional interactions and consistent, superior judgment and discretion in all internal and external contacts

·         Must have a warm and approachable personality that quickly establishes a professional rapport with current and potential clients and business contacts

·         Positive, passionate, persistent attitude

·         Must be highly reliable, flexible, and capable of meeting work schedule consistently

·         High comfort level working with and around all organizational levels, clients, vendors and visitors

·         Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team and company as a whole

 

 

Physical Demands & Expectations

 

  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; periods of prolonged sitting may be required
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, scanner, copier, 10-key, fax and other office equipment
  • Must be able to meet overnight travel expectations
